Helpers, also call pre-apprentices, are always in demand. These individuals perform manual labor jobs, which can include delivering parts to jobsites, digging ditches, driving forklifts, sorting tools and general cleanup. Once accepted as a helper, you can expect a 40-hour workweek with a UA Local 525 signatory contractor making $18.24 per hour, plus benefits.

Be by your phone the next morning between 9:30-10 a.m. when dispatchers begin roll call, or you’ll risk missing out on the opportunity.
