UA Local 525 offers two tracks for apprenticeship training: Building Trades (which focuses on plumbing and pipefitting) and HVACR Service. Both are five-year programs that require rigorous technical and safety training on the jobsite, along with engaging classroom-related instruction. The result? The most qualified, highly skilled workforce in Southern Nevada.
The glittering casinos, luxury hotels and dynamic attractions of the Las Vegas Strip are prime locations for UA Local 525 members to showcase the diversity of our two programs. Our tradespeople make sure Las Vegas buildings have clean drinking water and sanitary waste drainage. They’re involved in the complex piping systems of the hospitality industry. And they’re pros at improving energy efficiency of and making sure HVAC systems function properly in our desert heat.

At Local 525, plumbing and pipefitting apprentices are part of our Building Trades Apprenticeship Program, receiving a minimum of 8,500 on-the-job hours and 1,230 hours of classroom-related instruction.
