Important Notice Regarding the Application Process

Thank you for your interest in the Local 525 JATC Pipe Trades Apprenticeship Program. Please carefully review the following application timelines and requirements, as application deadlines vary by trade.

Plumbing & Pipefitting Applications

Application Period:
August 15, 2025 – March 15, 2026

Applications for Plumbing and Pipefitting will be accepted throughout the full application window listed above.

Program Start Date:
If accepted, apprentices will begin training in late August 2026.

❄ HVAC Applications — LIMITED AVAILABILITY

Due to very limited HVAC openings, HVAC applications will not follow the same application timeline as Plumbing and Pipefitting.

HVAC Application Deadline:

January 31, 2026 — 11:59 PM (Midnight)

• No HVAC applications will be accepted after January 31, 2026.

• Any HVAC application submitted after this deadline will not be considered, and applicants will be required to reapply during the next HVAC application cycle.

Next HVAC Application Window:

January 15, 2027 – March 15, 2027

Important Certification Deadline 

Please note that all applicants—regardless of when you submit your application—share the same final deadline to submit certifications or documents that count toward your application points.

Deadline to Submit Certifications: March 15

This means:

• If you apply early (for example, in August), you may continue submitting eligible certifications until March 15.

• If you apply later (for example, on March 13), you will still only have until March 15 — just two days later — to submit certifications.

• No additional documents or certifications will be accepted after March 15.

Please ensure that all trade, safety, or technical certifications you wish to have considered for application point credit are uploaded or delivered by the final deadline.

Next Steps:

Once your application is submitted, you will be contacted with further instructions and timelines. If accepted, you will begin your apprenticeship program in late August 2026.

• Driver’s license or photo ID
• Birth certificate
• High school diploma and transcripts or an approved high school equivalency GED certificate or scores
• Military transfer or discharge forms (if applicable)
